Sphere Commerce On-Demand Parking for gateless facilities is a cloud-based system, supporting all B2C payment solutions. On-Demand utilizes a sophisticated customer account management system powered by the industry’s largest inventory and pricing engine, My Spot™.
With On-Demand Parking, customers pay with their phone and bypass the pay station. With a Customer Account, parkers can save their information and breeze through the parking experience even quicker.
Signage displays instructions for the payment options; Pay by Parking.com App or website, Text to Pay and Photo/Scan to Pay.
First time users can either download and Pay by App or pay by connecting to Parking.com with Text to Pay or Photo/Scan to Pay or web browser.

- Select hours of parking
- Enter email, vehicle and payment information
- Off you go!

Fee for Service
A nominal service fee is charged per parking session to the parker.
Leveraging Platform-as-a-Service capabilities Sphere Commerce On-Demand for gated facilities is an open, agile, and interoperable technology that enables SP+ to control any parking infrastructure via a cloud-based application.
With Sphere Commerce On-Demand for gated facilities no reservation is required. Just access Parking.com for a touchless experience utilizing Bluetooth, QR Code, NFC Tag or LPR as well a text and QR code scan.
Using mobile phone Bluetooth technology allows for quick gate operation via a push of a button. Gate equipment recognizes registered users and provides the ability for a streamlined experience.
Placement of a QR sticker or NFC tag on the gate allows for a secondary means to vend the gate.
Using our camera based LPR option simplifies the process further once the user registers the vehicle make, model, color and license plate. The gate will open automatically eliminating the need to use the mobile app or push a button.
Parkers without registered accounts can also access the facility via phone number or text message for guest checkouts and quick conversion to the mobile app.
Implementation of Sphere On-Demand start with the installation of SP+’s gate kit. The gate kit installed at the location cloud enables the gate for a touchless customer experience. Hardware requirements includes – 1 Gate Kit per lane, 2 Beacons per lane, 1 NFC tag per lane, 1 QR code per lane and 1 LPR capable camera per lane which is optional.

Internet to the lane is required for the solution – mobile based services are available for an additional fee.
